Banda canadense July Talk busca esperança em um mundo caótico no clipe “The News”

Diretamente de Toronto, a July Talk é uma banda de indie rock com tons de blues que dialoga com temas contemporâneos de desesperança e desencontros urbanos em suas canções. Trazendo uma nova estética, eles buscam cores e alegrias em meio a um mundo caótico em seu novo clipe “The News”. Sem perder a reflexão pessoal que marca  “Pray For It”, seu terceiro disco e de onde vem o single, a banda traz um novo olhar para um ano que começa.

Fundada em 2012, a July Talk conta com os cantores Peter Dreimanis e Leah Fay, o guitarrista Ian Docherty, o baixista Josh Warburton e o baterista Danny Miles em sua formação.  No álbum homônimo lançado no primeiro ano de jornada, a banda apresentou um som pop radiofônico e evoluiu em canções sobre intimidade e tensões sociais em “Touch” (2016). Agora, eles buscam encontrar um novo equilíbrio com “Pray For It”. Com canções viscerais, os músicos querem reconhecer o poder da vulnerabilidade como uma maneira de começar de novo E isso aparece no disco, que tem tons de trilha sonora cinemática, ao explorar os desequilíbrios de poder, riqueza e autenticidade (“Governess Shadow”), a solidão (“Pay for It”) ou a busca por um amor de verdade (“Identical Love”). 

O disco foi produzido por Burke Reid (Courtney Barnett), Graham Walsh (Holy Fuck, Metz), David Plowman (Brendan Canning, Young Clancy), Milan Sarkadi (Mute Choir, Said The Whale) e e pelo compositor de trilhas sonoras Ben Fox. A mixagem é assinada por Rob Schnapf (Beck, Cat Power) e esse é um lançamento no Brasil da BMG.
